Ubeda: Spain’s World Heritage City

Ubeda is a small town in Spain that rewards its visitors with scenic views and historical places that are admirable enough to get submerged into. Ubeda is considered to be an undiscovered jewel that contains Renaissance architecture inside its spectacular countryside. This inseparable part of northern Andalucía is set on the main arterial route that connects to provincial capital cities of Albacete and Jaén. The town is totally dependent on production of all its oil from millions of all the trees that surrounds the entire countryside like a blanket.

The outward face of this small town is also fascinating enough. The outward area of Ubeda is covered with industrial states and tractors. Cobain was given the status of a world heritage city in the 2003. The city is known to have important architectural charms and buildings along with serene and rustic narrow cobbled streets with majestic stone houses adorning them. All these settings lie amid panoramic views of Sierra de Cazorla which is present across the Valley of Guadalquivir River. Those who are interested in Spain's interior must visit this town.

In order to familiarize the visitors with historical part of this town, Plaza de Andalucía should be visited. The Plaza also contains a number of cafés and bars and allows people to shop for accessories, clothes and other embellishments. Heart warm welcome and a healthy buzz of commerce can always be felt in this amazing town. One can also go for a peaceful Walk up to the Calle Mesones and move towards Hospital de Santiago. Estorial of Andalusia lie on the way and is known for the majestic towers.

Returning to words Plaza the Andalucia offers glimpses of the old city walls. If one turns to the market, a narrow street known as Melchor Almagro which introduce one to old dwellings of the town. This is a common gathering point of the local inhabitants during summer evenings. Towards the other corner is the Plaza is Plaza Del Ayuntamiento. The place is an important example of Renaissance architecture. On the left side of the building, one can see beautiful avenue in a design with orange trees. Just a little far is the Holy Chapel of El Salvador that the stunning enough to mesmerize any visitor. The Chapel is decorated with some beautiful carvings that exhibit Renaissance architecture.

Udeda is also a great place to watch flamenco and buy cutwork pottery. The artisans of Ubeda produce some exceptional hand made goods which you can take home as souvenir. If you're seeking a glimpse of old Spain, there is no better place than or greater to aim for. Ubeda is perfect to have real Spanish experience and enjoy thriving nightlife and tapas.
