Over the many years France has become a very popular place to gamble. The growing and sustained popularity of gambling can be seen by looking at the sheer total number of casinos that there are in the European Country. France holds an enormous quantity of casinos within its boundaries. These casinos range from very large to rather small in size, but are very popular around the whole country. This wide range of casinos coupled with the popularity of gambling in France, makes this country the greatest gambling market in the European continent. Other countries within Europe simply do not have the tradition, class, and atmosphere that surround the casino life in France.

France has gambling that takes place in every part of the country. Of course the most notable area for gambling is the French Riviera. There have been many movies that use this area as a base because of the presence of gambling that is already there. It holds beautiful scenery and also has adequate weather to make it a wonderful place to go to get away from the world. This southern part of France is easily the most popular area of France to spend time in for gambling. Paris is also known for its casinos. The casinos there are not necessarily what cause the people to flock to Paris, but these casinos do take advantage of the large quantity of people that go to Paris for other areas of tourism.

Paris is actually the home to the largest casino in Paris, the Cercle Hausmann. This is not surprising as Paris is the capital. This casino has 26 tables within it, playing several different styles of games. France is the place of origin of a few games played in casinos around the planet. These games include roulette and blackjack. Blackjack has become a big hit recently around the world, but the game started in Paris.

One of the greatest beauties of the casino life is Paris is the simple elegance that accompanies it. There is no tacky feel in Paris like the feeling that is present in Las Vegas casinos. Visiting a casino in France isn’t about going and blowing your life for a weekend, but rather enjoying the high life. The rich culture around it leaves visitors always remembering their stay as a very classy one.

As was said before, the French Riviera is the heart of gambling in the country. There are other attractions around, such as the weather and landscape, but the high life surrounding the Riviera is what brings the high and low classes together to enjoy the casinos. In Las Vegas the object of the casinos is to take a step down in class in order to accommodate all groups. In the Riviera, the casinos expect those who enter to take a step up in class so they can feel a part.

There are other casinos sprinkled around the country. In France there are more than 200 casinos in the country. The casinos have molded much of the tradition and lifestyle in France and will continue to be featured around the country.
