Influencing private corporations to invest in their university research programs led to the idea of finding a way for the two parties to have an encounter. Private corporations took part in the academic entrepreneurship program of a state biotechnics center. A state employs several of these centers under state law for the advancement of technology. Much like job interviews several application processes are required from a center.
Research centers can rely on the one million dollar budget of the state for funding but whatever amount is given to them should be matched by another provider this time from a private source. Other than talk about dentistry and surgery a venture capital organization supported a conference that also spoke of drugs. A lot of different corporations from venture groups to companies for pharmaceuticals and biotechnics joined the conference with total participating companies amounting to about 50. One aspect of the conference was to provide the different companies with an idea of the dental research being performed in the university including several reasons behind the studies.
There were some reservations with regard to the proposal of having a conference but the participants actually behaved in a way that pleased them. There were some companies whom they did not expect any business from but they were shocked when these companies showed interest. Massive success resulted to the continuance of the conference idea. Business gatherings in this light should be able to draw attention to the point of financial gain. It is a remarkable feat to achieve a series of research contracts after just one event.

Dentistry had the same fate a while back when people seemed to have overcome their cavity problems and so there were no patients available for the newly graduated dentists to treat.
