The RSL5 Riccar Lightweight Vacuum Review

First of all, the Riccar RSL5 is only eight pounds in weight. This really is the same weight as the widespread Oreck vacuum.

The Oreck and Riccar lightweight vacuum cleaners have a great deal in common. They both weigh eight pounds, they both are effortless to move, they both use a filter paper liner, and neither one uses on board tools.

Your Riccar RSL5 vacuum cleaner uses a 5.5 amp motor that's a little more powerful than the 4 amp Oreck motor. The Riccar RSL5 also uses filter liners that are very alike in quality and dimension to the Oreck vacuum liners. They are both micron filtration liners.

Your RSL5 is known for a benefit that sets it apart from the other Riccar vacuums. It posesses a two speed motor. The higher speed setting is utilized for sweeping carpeting. The lower setting is utilized when sweeping bare floors, whether they be tile, wood, or linoleum.

The advantage of using a revolving brush on bare floors is that the brushes, which are natural fiber, will scrub out the particles and filth among the cracks in the bare floors, between tiles, and among slats in real wood floorboards.

Your roller on the RSL5 Riccar upright is stainless steel and utilizes brush inserts that are simply changed when they eventually wear out.

The main reason you need a slower brush when sweeping bare floors is because the brush will not flip dirt and pet hair out the back of the sweeper. With a lower speed roller, the sweeper will truly pick up the dirt and filth off of a bare floor, and have the result that the floor feeling smooth to the touch.
All the grit can be swept away.

Your Riccar RSL5 commonly comes with a small canister vacuum to use on carpeted steps, upholstery, and inside the car. Because the Riccar RSL5 doesn't come with attachments, the canister vacuum cleaner is practical.

The only disadvantage with the lightweight vacuum cleaners is the lack of power. The motors are small and don't deliver sufficient power for deep cleaning. This type of vacuum works very well with lower pile carpeting or Berber carpeting.

The weight comes in very handy, if you are carrying the vacuum up and down stairs to clean. It's also a bonus if you have trouble carrying heavier vacuum cleaners. Most upright vacuums weigh about 15 or 16 pounds.

I would recommend buying your Riccar vacuum just from the nearby independent seller. They will be able to honor the factory warranty.
Purchasing on the internet voids the warranty, as retailers are not allowed to ship outside their local area.
