January has seen a whole range of auto shows, where car
manufacturers have been given the opportunity to showcase their latest models and concept cars. 2012 is set to be a big year for the automotive industry after a disappointing 2011. Therefore motoring enthusiasts will have been keeping a close eye on recent events to see how manufacturers are planning to tackle 2012.
Mitsubishi were one of many manufacturers who provided an
insight into their new model prospects. Mitsubishi will be showcasing at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March and in preparation for this they issues teaser photos of an all-new global vehicle, which they have kept very tight
lipped about.
This will be the first time that Mitsubishi have showcased
at this particular auto show, so they will want to ensure that it’s a great success. All we know about their agenda is that they are to launch an innovative new premium vehicle which will showcase a new ‘Mitsubishi design
language’. We also know that they are planning for their new model to go into production this year.
They have hinted that this new model will focus on the
environment and be greener than other models in their current line-up.
Some people have suggested that the new model will be a replacement for their Outlander, as they strive to broaden its appeal. They are also soon looking to replace the Mitsubishi Colt with the Mirage, which is currently
built in Thailand. So, I won’t be seeing the Mitsubishi
Colt in Kent for much longer!
On top of this they are also planning a new plug-in hybrid
model which should be available in 2013.
So in summary, Mitsubishi is one brand you will want to keep an eye out for in the coming years. They have some big and exciting plans ahead.
