I wanted to pay less for energy and I wanted to do something nice for the natural world. I was under the idea that something like making a windmill was demanding and required some variety of extraordinary skill or education; thankfully I was mistaken!
For a couple of years I had been hearing about guys that were generating their own power at home. I thought it was some sort of bull, that is until I discovered the Earth4Energy.com website. I read their information then did some study. Among the many things I didn't know was that E4E is the first business to put out a guide for home made electricity. Also I did not understand how easy on the pocket it is. Or that I could do a project like this with common materials and that it would only take a couple of days.
E4E's plans, videos, and mechanical support for Making A Windmill was wexactly what I wanted to succeed. I am happy to report that I have a attractive looking windmill attached to my residence in the suburbs and it provides on average about 75% of the electricity for my house.
Last month my power bill was less than $20! Now this is for a 3100 square foot house. I bought everything I needed at that big box hardware store (with the orange sign) that is just down the road and all in all it cost me around $195 (including the $50 I spent on the guide).
Now we don't have to pay a contractor 1000's; thank you E4E for making this product available.
